104 degrees - Hottest August ever in Austin.
I noticed how similar the values are on this bright hot day.

Dove Season Opening Day. Too many shots going off.

Opening day 09-01-2007.I painted this to the sound of shotguns going off all around me everywhere in the nearby fields...
other farms..while my 15 year old Samuel's alarm went off every 10 minutes and he hits snooze...
he intended to go hunting but is so weary from this week's football....

  September 13  (horse light backlit) overgrown bright still the tall clumps of grass fool me to thinking they are "life", a cow? a horse?  
  September 13 (Nana's dark horizon) cooler...like 90 - a "cold front" came by.
Hurricane Humberto? in Beaumont, PA. No one's home only the sound of bugs.
They are taking over the fields. Lots of hawks. See pics.

"Grazing Day"
Lingering at the bottom on this hot day, the cows found plenty to eat,
moving slowly so that I could paint them. There was always one posing.
