Workshop at Fredericksburg Artists School
Plein Air Color – Capturing the Impression Quickly
$395

Painting and Sketching, Every Day (…and what to do with all those field studies!)
V….knows how to see and capture a painting quickly. She has an extensive teaching and graphic design background, and lots of PRACTICAL info to share.
We will work indoors AND outside : “The Light of Night”, “Color Capture”, “Shapes of Values”, and “Seven Strokes” are some of Vaughan’s brief exercises that teach “seeing” and nabbing YOUR impression the way you want to. We will work a split schedule (6-11am and 6-9 pm). In the extreme ends of the day, you will enjoy the cool and the color of the day.  In between the sessions you can visit the shops and galleries, go sightseeing, work extra with V….in the studio or or take a nap! Sunrises, sunsets, and moon rise painting will challenge your speed and color accuracy, and success is guaranteed!  The full moon will be out and we will do an evening moonlit  painting on Tuesday night.  Follow V….’s BLOGS and get ready to push your painting to the next level. www.vvaughan.blogspot.com
